Welcome to Booking Bible
Your new booking platform is live — here is what to expect and where to find things.
- New featureAppointmentsNetworkMarketing site·
Appointment clients stay in dashboard book; shared hours open real slots
Appointment-only clients book from the dashboard or widget, not the old venue marketing pages. Professionals who share hours open real treatment slots at the host. Clubs stay; favourite instructors hide. Flash sales no longer default to the pricing page.
- New featureServicesAppointments·
Appointment service editor — visibility, deposits, technicians, catalog
Appointment venues can activate services, set Public vs POS-only, configure deposits, assign technicians with duration/price, and organize categories, collections, and tags — without Nailtech-only special cases.
- ImprovementAdmin NavMarketing siteEmails·
Appointment-only venues hide leftover class labels
With Venue-type class chrome on, appointment-only venues no longer show leftover class wording on flash sales, campaigns, flows, email templates, or collaboration pay. Class and mixed studios stay as they are. Courses on Nailtech stay visible. Turning the switch does not email clients.
- New featureMarketing siteLoyaltyAppointments·
Appointment marketing: treatment flash sales, visit loyalty, visit sequences
Appointment and mixed venues can discount a service, award loyalty on completed visits, start sequences on visit-card low / treatment completed / no-show, and market to clients who booked a service in the last 90 days. Class studios keep class packs, per-class points, and class triggers. Mode flips hide or show these products without deleting rows.
- ImprovementPassesBillingNotifications·
Unused finite class allowance can roll into the next period
Per pass type, leftover classes on a finite recurring membership can carry into the next paid cycle. Off by default. Unlimited memberships never carry. Paused or ended passes never carry.
- ImprovementGift CardsPasses·
Recurring gifts can be a prepaid term or a giver-funded membership
When a recurring pass can be purchased as a gift, the studio now chooses how that gift is paid.
- ImprovementMembershipsPassesClients·
Flexible passes show their kind after sale
The client Passes card now names a Flexible pass as a Recurring class pack, Class pack, or Time-based pass, instead of only a purple Flexible badge.
- ImprovementPoint of SalePassesMemberships·
Sell Pass names Flexible kinds and sells a recurring class pack like a membership
The register now labels Flexible products in plain language: a recurring class pack, a one-time class pack, or a time-based pass. Staff pick the published option that matches that kind — classes and validity for a class pack, duration and optional class limit for a time-based pass, and classes-per-period or Unlimited for a recurring class pack. The list no longer presents the catalog floor as if i
- ImprovementAdvanced Marketing·
Automation flows hide class triggers for appointment-only venues
When venue-type chrome is on, appointment-only venues no longer see Class attended, Class milestone, or Clips running low as flow create or editor triggers. Class and mixed venues keep those triggers. Existing flows are not deleted.
- ImprovementLoyaltyMarketing siteNetwork·
Appointment-only venues get visit wording on loyalty, challenges, reviews, availability, and collaboration pay
When venue-type class chrome is on, appointment-only venues see Free visit / Per visit / Visits attended and provider working-hours language instead of class copy. Stored values stay free_class and classes_attended. Class and mixed venues are unchanged. No client emails.
- New featureAdvanced Marketing·
Marketing tools follow appointment-only venue chrome
When venue-type chrome is on, appointment-only venues see visit-pack flash-sale wording, no class campaign filter or class sequence triggers, and reviews copy without class studio language. Class and hybrid venues stay unchanged.
- ImprovementSettingsEmails·
Appointment-only venues can hide class message chrome under Client emails
When venue-type class chrome is turned on, appointment-only venues no longer see class-studio rows under Automated messages, and the Channel rules class reminder group is labeled Visit reminders. Class and mixed venues are unchanged. Courses stay. No client emails are sent by this change.
- ImprovementAdmin NavMarketing siteEmails·
Venue-type chrome and appointment checkout/notification switches
Appointment-only venues can hide class-studio admin chrome when Venue-type class chrome is on. Class and mixed venues stay unchanged. Two more dark switches cover appointment emails and leftover paid-checkout cancels. Turning these on does not email clients. Courses on Nailtech stay visible.
- Bug fixAnalyticsInvoicesPrivate Events·
Analytics keys, invoice bank details and invite links are no longer readable by every signed-in client
A signed-in client can no longer look up a venue’s analytics API secrets, invoice bank details, or the one-time links on buddy invites, private-event registrations and migration companion threads. Staff who already hold the matching settings or bookings permission still see those screens, including while Booking Bible support is signed in as the venue.
- Bug fixInvoicesPoint of SaleMarketing site·
Clients can no longer change venue records or read other clients’ records
Invoices, point-of-sale records, messaging settings, member tags, catalog and event records, AI settings and migration imports can now only be changed by staff who hold the matching permission, and a client can no longer look up other clients’ invoices, receipts, message history, tags, scores or health records. Every screen keeps working; sixteen kinds of record now need a named permission to look
- Bug fixPoint of SalePayments·
Card reader actions now check who is asking and which venue they belong to
The server functions behind Stripe Terminal card readers now require a signed-in staff member, the matching point-of-sale permission, and the staff member's own venue before they do anything. Nothing changes on any screen, and the card reader flows in the venue workspace and the Business app are untouched.
- New featureMarketing siteBillingPasses·
Flash sales: choose what extras cost during the offer, and discount the joining fee
When a flash sale runs on a membership that includes paid extras, you now choose whether the client pays only for the days of the offer (the default) or a full period. You can also give a discount on the joining fee instead of only waiving it. Both are set while the sale is still a draft, previewed with real amounts and dates, and locked once you publish.
- Bug fixCommissionsPayrollPoint of Sale·
Commission records can only be written by staff of that venue
The server functions that create, calculate and reverse commission records now require a signed-in venue administrator or manager with the commissions permission, acting on their own venue. Nothing changes on your screens, and every automatic commission — checkout, point of sale, appointments, private events, refunds — keeps working exactly as before.
- Bug fixPaymentsMembersPoint of Sale·
Refund receipts reach the client again, and the refund window tells you before you refund
Refund receipt emails were silently not being sent for most older payments, and the refund window still said the receipt had gone out. The receipt now goes to the address saved with the original payment, the payer address saved with it, or the client account's own verified email. When none of those exists, the refund window warns you before you confirm, and the refund is recorded as "receipt not s
- Bug fixMarketing siteMembershipsBilling·
A flash-sale or offer place is held for 3 minutes with a live countdown
Paying for a limited offer now holds the client's place for exactly 3 minutes, shown as a live countdown at the card step. Too slow, and the place is released and they are told to contact the venue. A payment that somehow lands late is refunded automatically and the venue is alerted.
- Bug fixInvoicesPoint of SaleMembers·
Invoice permissions are enforced everywhere, and Undo recovers instead of sticking
A staff role allowed to create invoices but not to manage them can no longer cancel, delete, credit or mark an invoice paid. Undo no longer gets stuck saying a change is already being undone, and when it cannot tell whether a change was reversed it says so instead of repeating it. Nothing else changes on your screens.
- Bug fixPassesProductsMarketing site·
Pass settings are staff-only, and gift and extension settings save as shown
Only staff who can manage passes can change pass types, and only staff who can manage products can change shop products. The pass editor now explains when a pass cannot be gifted, “0 = unlimited” extensions save correctly, and a client’s offer limit carries over when a flash sale is replaced.
- Bug fixMarketing siteMembershipsBilling·
Unpaid offer checkouts no longer use up limited places
Starting an offer checkout now reserves a place for 3 minutes, with a live countdown. Only a completed payment uses it, and a payment that arrives too late is refunded automatically. Add-ons can be bought with a dated introductory price, at their normal price.
- Bug fixPasses·
Reliable Flexible pass publishing and safer pass edits
Publishing a Flexible pass no longer hangs on a conflict, Reload live rules keeps your draft edits and shows what changed, and editing a pass no longer switches off gifting or other advanced settings.
- ImprovementMarketing site·
Schedule flash sales and repeat them as runs
A flash sale with a later start is scheduled and goes live by itself, with its announcement sent at the start. A sale can be repeated as runs that stay together on one card, like course cohorts.
- ImprovementMarketing site·
Replace a running flash sale in one step
When a copy of a running flash sale for the same products is published, staff can replace the running sale: it ends and the copy goes live at the same moment, and spots left carry over.
- New featureMarketing sitePoint Of Sale·
Flash-sale drafts publish once, and POS can pick the offer
Staff can save a private flash-sale draft, review it, and publish it once. Announcement copy stays private. POS can attach the published offer to a pass sale.
- ImprovementMarketing sitePoint Of Sale·
Duplicate an old flash sale and give it from Point of Sale
Venue staff can now duplicate an ended or deactivated flash sale from Marketing into a new unpublished draft. Copied settings open in the existing create editor so dates, promo uniqueness and publish choices can be reviewed. Claims, promo codes, payments, delivery history and the original sale identity are not copied, and duplication never announces or activates the copy.
- ImprovementBb Sites·
Premium website directions and appointment sections go live
Solstice, Form and Gather version 3 are the active designs, and the live service menu, next available times and provider directory can be added to websites of venues that take appointments.
- ImprovementBb Sites·
Premium website directions and appointment sections enter review
Solstice, Form and Gather version 3 and four appointment-led website sections are built and reviewable internally; nothing is offered or applied to a website yet.
- New feature·
Treatment records: who can see what
Venues get five separate staff permissions for appointment-linked treatment records (view own, record own, view all, manage, export). A technician sees and records treatments for the appointments they performed; seeing colleagues' records, editing them or exporting records are separate grants a venue gives on purpose. Export is owner-level by default.
- Improvement·
Clearer staff save outcomes
This isolated source candidate improves the existing venue staff profile and photo APIs; it is not deployed or ready for customer handover.
- Improvement·
Public team and service descriptions
Connected Sites team sections and newly generated service-page facts now use the same active, publicly listed provider authority as BookingBible's public provider catalog. A service assignment alone does not authorize publishing a person's identity. Private or suspended memberships and collaboration public-listing withdrawals are respected; unreadable listing or identity information is withheld.
- New feature·
Service image authoring and recovery
Web service editing and the Business-app API companion now share one venue-scoped image writer. Authorized admins with bookings.manage can upload JPG, PNG or WebP (up to5 MiB, at least1200 by675 pixels), then save a16:9 catalog image. Existing service-catalog franchise locks also apply. The writer validates owned original paths and bytes, creates immutable1600/800/400 WebP versions, and compares t
- New feature·
Service assignments and variants: shared administration contracts
This isolated source candidate gives web and Business app clients one server authority for assigning professionals to services and managing duration/price variants. It is not deployed and does not establish full setup parity or Nailtech handover readiness.
- New feature·
Service archive API companion
The Business app's service archive action now has a dedicated staff-JWT API companion: `POST /api/v1/admin/services/{id}/archive`, with an empty JSON object and a required Idempotency-Key. It uses the same organization-scoped archive core as web administration, including permission, franchise-lock, audit/webhook and cache behavior. Existing appointments are retained; this is service deactivation,
- New feature·
Rooms panel floor-plan upload
Venue staff can upload a room floor plan only after the room exists. The form shows pending, saved, error, and unknown states, serializes upload with save/remove, and will not replace a newly finalized URL with a stale text field. Late responses from another room are ignored. Legacy external URLs remain editable. The upload flow does not request client notifications; no live operation was exercise
- ImprovementFeedback·
Separate review schedules and clearer previews
Configure internal and public review schedules independently; a cadence preview does not promise message delivery.
- Improvement·
Room and location image removal
Authorized venue admins can clear a room floor-plan reference through the room setup API. New floor-plan URLs still require the signed upload and finalize flow; a direct URL cannot be attached through room PATCH.
- New feature·
Public appointment team listings
Public venue team listings can include active service providers and instructors, including a delivery capability on another primary role. A generic staff account is not automatically a public professional. The venue's public-listing setting and professional collaboration withdrawals remain authoritative.
- New feature·
Provider working hours: shared administration contract
This isolated source candidate gives web and Business app clients one server authority for provider working-hours rows. It is not deployed and does not establish full setup parity.
- ImprovementStaffAppointmentsSettings·
Staff can record named-booking visibility separately from team listings
This candidate adds two independent choices for venue admins with staff-edit access: whether a team member appears on the public team page, and whether clients may choose them **by name** when a service allows picking a person.
- New feature·
Combined visits: any professional or a named one
When a client books several services as one visit on the Web or embedded booking page, they now choose between any available professional and a person the venue offers by name for every selected service. Any keeps every assigned professional available, including people the venue does not list for named booking, and the venue assigns the professional for the whole visit. Named choice only shows peo
- New feature·
Independent staff listing and booking choices
Local candidate only: this work has not been deployed or published to app stores.
- Improvement·
Business identity saves preserve booking and notification settings
Saving Business identity now changes only the submitted business type and legal setup. It no longer resubmits the page's booking mode or rewrites the venue's settings JSON. Booking-product changes remain deliberate actions in the separate Booking products card, using the existing offering authority and commercial checks.
- ImprovementAppointments·
Clearer booking-offering read and save outcomes
Business details fail safely when current settings cannot be verified, and confirmed offering changes remain distinguishable from uncertain saves.
- ImprovementAppointments·
Shared booking-offering controls for web and Business clients
A scoped API companion uses the existing offering authority and distinguishes saved, refused and unconfirmed changes.
- ImprovementAdminClassesAppointments·
Appointment venues keep class work only while it is still owed
Appointment-only venues no longer see class discovery chrome, but existing class bookings, check-in and history stay available while a product is winding down. Member dashboards show real visits. Public location pages list services, not client appointment diaries.
- Improvement·
Appointment retry recovery
Web member/guest booking and the shared mobile appointment API now recover an already saved matching booking before checking current prices or availability. New bookings still obey the venue's payment requirements and named-staff choices. The venue, client and original booking details remain bound to the retry.
